Gatsby Get Down

Are you a young professional in the Birmingham area? Are you looking to get plugged in and raise some $$$ for a good cause? If so, then check out YP Birmingham at www.ypbirmingham.com. Each month, the young professionals of Birmingham get creative to raise funds for some very important charities. This month YP hosted the "Gatsby Get Down" to raise awareness and funds for Hopeline, an initiative of Verizon Wireless to prevent domestic violence. Hopeline collects wireless phones and recycles/reuses them, donating the proceeds to victims of domestic violence and to nonprofit advocacy agencies. So last Thursday night the yp's of Birmingham donned their 20's garb, brought a used cell phone, and enjoyed live jazz music at the local Speakeasy.
