I'm always amazed at how personalities are so distinct from the very beginning. Aubree is nine months old and is such a purposeful, intelligent little thing! During our hour at Botanical Gardens, she soaked in her surroundings, examining everything with a thoughtful intensity. What a gift this will be to her as she grows throughout the years! Jennifer and Cason, you have a beautiful daughter and your love for her is so evident.

Birthday & Baptism

I photographed a BEAUTIFUL family a couple of weeks ago. Stephanie Arnold called me with a special request...Sawyer, her adorable little boy, was having his first birthday and getting baptized in the same day! It was a gorgeous day and all of their family and friends drove down to Prattville to celebrate. The Lord has truly blessed little Sawyer with a loving family that will bring him up in the truth of the gospel. Sawyer's baptism was an incredible picture of the covenant that the Lord has made with His people. All in all it was a great day. Oh, I can't forget to mention Sawyer's big sister Georgia, who was definitely the life of the party. She was all girl in her princess attire--I just loved it! Happy birthday Sawyer!

Bonnie & Ezequiel

Bonnie & Ezequiel are two of the most easy-going people that I've ever met. With an outside wedding, there is always the risk of getting rained out. Well, it poured on June 30th, but that didn't phase these two! They took the 1/2 hour delay as extra quality time to spend with friends and family. I really enjoyed being a part of their day.

Kearstyn

When Ashley called me to see if I could do Kearstyn's photos before she hit the 1 year mark, I didn't really know what to expect. The little ones can get a little cranky if you interfere with naptime, if you know what I mean. But WOW, was Kearstyn great. I mean GREAT. I've never seen a happier little girl. She played and entertained herself for over an hour and we got lots of cute photos of Kearstyn just being her happy little self. I had a great time hanging out with Ashley (who, I discovered, is a fellow resident of the wonderful town of Moody) and Allison, who came along to help with wardrobe changes and such. Thanks for a great Sunday afternoon!

I've always been fascinated with adoption. The way the Lord brings a helpless child into the arms of a loving family...there is such rich spiritual significance to this act. It must be an amazing feeling when a longing couple first lays eyes on their long awaited new addition to the family. The Russells are helping so many families by fostering newborns until they are adopted. They are such loving people, I can see why the Lord made them stewards of these tiny souls. Take a look at how precious their current baby is!

Cathy is pretty much an amazing person. I was so excited when she asked me to do her graduation photos. As president of her class, she gave a killer graduation speech. It was so good that the keynote speaker, Congressman Artur Davis, quoted her in his speech!!! Anyways, Cathy is now a working woman, so I'm glad I was able to shoot these photos to help her remember her college days. :)
